The contract extension news kept coming this week as San Diego FC announced they've extended Ema Boateng for the 2026 season with a club option through June 2027.

“Ema brings invaluable experience, professionalism, and consistency to our group,” said SDFC Sporting Director Tyler Heaps. “His commitment to the Club, his teammates, and our values is evident every day, and we are happy to continue this journey with him as we build toward the future.”

By extending Boateng, the club showed commitment to his natural skill of providing invaluable veteran guidance for younger players. SDFC is built on an idea of taking youth talent and developing them into professionals. Boateng has been there and made a long career in the MLS.
