San Diego Wave FC has re-signed midfielder Kenza Dali, locking in one of the team’s leaders through the 2027 season. Her presence in the locker room balances the energy of a young squad, setting the tone on and off the field while helping guide the next generation of talent.
The 34-year-old French international made an immediate impact in her first NWSL season. She started every match, played a team-high 2,247 minutes, tied for the squad lead with five goals, and added three assists. Dali earned four NWSL Best XI of the Month honors and was named to the NWSL Second Best XI, proving just how essential she was in 2025.

Before joining the Wave, Dali built an impressive career across Europe with Lyon, PSG, Lille, Dijon, and several English clubs in the Women’s Super League, winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League along the way. She has also represented France 75 times, competing in the World Cup, Olympics, and European Championship.
This new contract lets Dali focus on what she does best, controlling the midfield, without the stress of an expiring deal. While the Wave continue to invest in youth, they are keeping the fan favorites who shape the club’s culture and drive the team forward. The recent departures of Kailen Sheridan and Delphine Cascarino make Dali’s return even more significant for fans eager to see the club grow while keeping familiar faces.

“San Diego has become home for me,” Dali said. “I’m proud to keep building something special with my teammates, staff, and fans. This club pushes me to be my best every day, and I’m grateful for the trust they’ve shown.”
