Wave fans filled Plaza de Panama on Thursday evening, packing the heart of Balboa Park to celebrate the unveiling of the club’s 2026 Balboa Park Kit.

There may not have been a more fitting place.

For generations of San Diegans, Balboa Park isn’t just a tourist destination, it’s a core memory. It’s school field trips to the Fleet Science Center. Family days wandering through the San Diego Zoo. Prom nights beneath the vaulted ceilings of the Natural History Museum. It’s where cultures gather, where art and science meet, where history stands beside something new.

It is the city in miniature.

The Wave’s new cream-colored kit feels pulled directly from that setting. The soft neutral base mirrors the Spanish Colonial Revival facades that frame the Plaza de Panama. The detailing along the collar and sleeves echoes the intricate tilework that gives the park its color and texture, small touches that reward a closer look, much like the mosaics tucked into courtyards throughout Balboa Park.

But the connection runs deeper than aesthetics.

Balboa Park has always been a crossroads: a place where languages overlap, where traditions are shared, where communities blend without losing their individuality. The Wave embody that same spirit. With players representing six different nations, the team brings together distinct styles, rhythms, and footballing identities. On the pitch, those differences combine, creating something cohesive and uniquely San Diegan.

The park tells the story of the city.

The kit carries that story forward.

And the Wave bring it to life on the pitch.
