San Diego Wave FC announced Tuesday that they recalled midfielder Jordan Fusco and terminated her loan with USL team Tampa Bay Sun Football Club. Fusco originally signed with the Wave on a short-term contract in March of 2025, which was extended twice through the end of 2027.
Fusco’s original short-term contract was similar to Tatum Wynalda’s, which was announced last week.
While Fusco played for the Tampa Bay Sun, she made four appearances and scored two goals. In her debut game, she scored the opening goal; for her second goal, she earned the Star of the Match award.

Before heading to Tampa Bay, Fusco made seven regular season appearances for San Diego. She also featured in the World Sevens Football tournament, where the Wave went undefeated to win the inaugural championship, with Fusco contributing one goal and one assist along the way.
Fusco’s return gives the Wave another option in midfield as the club continues to manage rotation across the roster. Preserving player fitness will be especially important in 2026, with the upcoming NWSL campaign set to be the longest season in league history.
welcome back, Jordan! 🌊
